It is with very mixed feelings we can announce that we have decided to put Dimmz on hold! When we started this band back in 2005 we all made a promise that if we came to a point where Dimmz isn´t the funniest thing on earth, we should quit. We had the goal to be able to play in Dimmz as a full time job. Late spring this year we got an offer that really could get us all the way, everything we aimed for. At that time we all felt fed up with the whole thing and we decided to take a break during the summer to sort things out. We feel that we can´t get on the train and put in all the hard work it will be to promote Dimmz in US and Europe if we don´t have the same passion as before, it wouldn´t be right to anyone. We are truly happy, proud and thankfull with what we have achieved and we have loved every single second of it. We don´t close the door for a future gig with Dimmz but when, the time will tell. We want to thank everyone who have supported us along the way, specially you people, you rock! We are still best friends and will keep on playing music together, but for now on, on a different level. Just for fun, like it´s ment to be! From the bottom of our hearts, a big big thank you and take care! Thats all for now, peace out! Dimmz

Radiostations

I just got a really good e-mail from our recordlabel today. Our latest album "Still Human?" has been presented to alot of american radiostations and it will be broadcasted all through the country, from the smallest collegeradio to the bigger mainstream radiostations. Of course this is a huge step for us having our music played in US.
As i said before we are waiting for our A/R guy to spread the word and book the tour we all have been waiting for since we signed the contract! Where ever Sliptrick will set the tour, we are more then ready!

Well Well

At this point we are rehearsing and write some new stuff. We have close contact with our A/R guy at the label, the guy who runs everything regarding bookings and other stuff. We are pretty sure that we will be able to present some very cool gigs in 2011 but nothing i can tell you about now though. If everything turns out as we want, we have a very nice "problem" to deal with next year, more about that later!
We are hoping that the weather won´t fuck up our trip to Stockholm, but as for now it doesn´t look to good, but let´s see what happens during the next couple of days. The gig in Södertälje in january will be a killer, it was a nice gig last summer so we´re very much looking forward to that one!
We also had some offers on a UK tour so we hope we can solve that one and get our asses over to UK for some gigs next year.

Video and stuff!

We are struggling like hell with the new video. It´s really weird because the label and the producers are happy with the video and everything looks great, but as soon as it´s uploaded to Youtube, the synch fucks up!It´s so frustrated but we are working in the problem and hopefully it will be solved in a fair time. The most important is that the result is as good as we want to!
I have a confirmation on the acoustic gig, it will be the last saturday in november, probably 23.00 so it will be awsome!We are playing for one hour and you can pick up your own ex of the album "Still Human?"!Hope to see all of you there!

Acoustic gig

Im glad to tell you that we will make an acoustic gig at Taste Bar in Kristianstad. It will be alot of new songs from our new album, that will be released just before the show, but also a mix of old stuff and covers that have ment alot to us. It will be the last weekend of november, not quite sure which day yet, but i will let you know asap.Hope to see alot of people there!

Some things

It´s been a long time since i updated this blog, there has been alot of work with the band, which of course is the greatest! We have recorded our very first video for the single "Bye Bye Baby", to be released in september i think. The work with the album is getting on just fine, it´s in the mix right now and not much we can do about it, kind of frustrated! Tomorrow, friday, we will go to Södertälje and play Pretzeltownfestival with bands like Johnossi and many more, it will be a killer for sure, the biggest stage at 19.00!
One more great thing is that we are confirmed for "Protestfestivalen" in Kristiansand/Norway september 10th. We just recieved our flight tickets and it´s really great to be able to fly instead of having like 10 hours of driving. Kind of weird when you explain to people that you travel 10 hours in a car just to play 40 minutes and the back in the car to go home, but that´s what we want to do more then anything so it´s well worth the travel! It will be a sick night though, the plane leaves Copenhagen at 2100 and lands 22.00 in Kristiansand, then get picked up at the airport and off to the stage to play around midnight, then back to the airport at 3.30 in the morning to catch the 6.20 plane back home.....god damn, i guess we´re all have to sleep when we´re dead!
We have some cool things coming up in our hometown as well but i leave that to next time so i have a confirmation, but i can tell you that it will be a very special night with something we have never done before!Have a killer weekend!

Video and stuff!

There is alot of things going on in Dimmz camp so i have a hard time to get some time left for the blogg! We will shoot a video 6-8 august in Kristianstad and it´s going to be awsome, hope everyone will join us!We will get in the studio in the end of june and produce the greatest album of all times, the first single is Bye Bye Baby!
